International Exhibitions and ATA Carnets Event, 23 October 2019

We’ve teamed up with Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to host an event, providing insights and advice to companies that trade internationally on how to generate more clients and business opportunities through global events and tradeshows.

International exhibitions and events present a great opportunity for businesses to expand overseas and generate more revenue, however 70 per cent of companies do not have a proactive engagement strategy and may find they end up wasting their marketing budget.

On top of this, it can be confusing for those new to the global exhibition scene what paperwork they need. For example, ATA Carnets – also known as “Passport for Goods” – is a temporary export-import document used to clear customs in over 85 countries and territories without paying duties for goods that will be re-exported within 12 month, which applies to goods being taken to fairs and exhibitions overseas.

The International Exhibitions and ATA Carnets event will be held on 23 October 2019, 8:30am – 11am, at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce on Deansgate. Lee Ali, managing director of Expo Stars, will share proven processes on how to maximise your return on investment when exhibiting at tradeshows, conferences and congresses. Kathryn Hoggitt, export documentation Manchester Airport Office Lead, who also looks after GM Chamber ATA Carnets services, will provide an overview of how temporary exports work and how to remain compliant to local regulations.
